Get in Touch

Scotts Bluff County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Direct each request to the appropriate public office or official locator below.

Official Records and Custody Routes

Use the path that matches the person's custody status and the record sought. Current jail status is different from an underlying police report, a court outcome, or state and federal custody. The county has not published a sheriff-specific price or turnaround for booking photos, so requesters should ask for a fee estimate and timing from the records custodian.

  • Current custody: Start with the official Scotts Bluff County portal and choose INMATES. For a limited telephone confirmation of current incarceration, charges, and bond, use the booking line. The portal is a current-inmate lookup, not a confirmed daily feed or photo gallery.
  • Historical booking record or photo: Ask the Sheriff Records Clerk for the relevant booking or admission record. The county's FOI request page routes a request to the responsible department and provides an estimate of actual costs. Include the name, approximate date, agency, record type, and a request for a fee estimate.
  • City incident record: Contact the police department that investigated it. Scottsbluff has an official records form; Gering records are handled through the Gering Police Department; and Mitchell requests begin with the Mitchell Police Department. A city incident file and county jail admission are separate records.
  • Court disposition: Search Nebraska JUSTICE case information and the appropriate county or district court. JUSTICE updates nightly and can lag a jail listing by about a day. A booking charge is an allegation unless a court record establishes a later outcome.
  • State custody after transfer: Use the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services offender search by last name or DCS ID. It is for state custody, not every local booking, and the public interface does not confirm a booking-photo display.
  • Federal or immigration custody: Use the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator for federal custody and the ICE Online Detainee Locator for qualifying ICE searches. Neither is a county booking-photo source.
